Tuesday, March 20, 2012

Contact: Mary Campbell

Community Council is hosting not one, but two, Spring Socials—one in Milton-Freewater and one in Walla Walla. The events will be held 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 12, and Tuesday, April 17.

Nine Trees Inn in Milton-Freewater will open its doors for the April 12 event. Wines donated by local wineries and an array of tempting appetizers will be featured. Tickets are $25 per person.

Foundry Vineyards in Walla Walla will be the setting for a second event, April 17. Attendees will enjoy the winery’s wine, hors d‘oeuvres, artwork and jazz by Tom Simon and Walla Walla Community College musicians. Tickets are $30 per person.

As with all Community Council activities, the public is encouraged to attend one or both events. Tickets must be purchased prior to the event and will NOT be available at the door. Tickets and information are available from Community Council Board members or through the office—509-529-0119 or info@wwcommunitycouncil.org.

Throughout the year, Community Council brings people together to address regional issues. The socials are designed as opportunities to get better acquainted with others in the community, as well as to learn about Community Council’s role in facilitating community improvement and the status of its activities. The events also serve as fundraisers to help support the Council.
